Bio

My name is Rebekah Jones. First, and foremost, I am a follower of the Living God. I try to do everything for His glory, and while I fail very often, I am so thankful that He is always gracious, forgiving and helping me. I am a Homeschool graduate from 2008, the eldest of several younger siblings (including a brother-in-law, as well as a few honorary siblings,) and auntie to one very darling little girl.

I have published three books so far and, LORD willing, I hope to publish several more in the future. I write both Christian Novels and Children’s books. I enjoy both, but I am currently focusing writing my novels and I love to make them mysteries. Grandmother’s Letters and 24 Days Before Christmas are both mysteries, while Journeys of Four has elements of a mystery entwined throughout the main story.

I am an author, generally of mystery. I also have several duties here at home; such as dishes to wash, floors to vacuum, rooms to tidy, furniture to dust, siblings to help, laundry to fold, and meals to cook. These all come before my writing. Sometimes I have to remind myself of that, but I know that home and family is where the LORD wants my first focus to be. I also know that He has led me very clearly through my writing all these years. I am, further, a nanny to some of the sweetest children on the planet.

I really do love to write. Writing is one of my favorite things to do. Anything from poetry, essays, articles, short stories, songs, journals entries, letters, and, of course, books. I am currently in the middle of brainstorming, writing, and editing several books. Most of them are contemporary fiction novels. All but one or two are very blatantly Christian. My goal is to encourage other Christians through my written word and write good, Biblically solid fiction for others to read.

I also love to read. Everything from history to music, herbology to science, astronomy to anatomy. Well written literature is a must too. I try to study different authors, so I can learn how to be a better writer myself. My current favorites include, Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, Chautona Havig, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Douglas Bond, and Jules Verne. Each of them have their strengths and weaknesses, as well as their own distinct style, and I’m loving my literature studies!

Besides all of this, I enjoy holding babies, drawing, playing the piano, composing music, crocheting, gardening, singing, sewing, and the list continues… Welcome to my site!

To the KING be all the glory!

Wow! You sound like an amazing person! I’m an aspiring writer, and it’s wonderful to find out that I’m not the only one who works on several books at once!! :D
