– On the Ninth Day of December…

– – –

On the ninth day of December,
The boxes are piling high!
The cupboards are nearly empty –
It’s enough to make some sigh.

Nannah came over for an early lunch,
It was a pleasant little visit!
We had homemade eggsalad,
And nice, fluffy, warm, biscuit!

Then it was off to packing again,
Though we had to run to the store first.
Did you know that I have found,
Packing gives you a horrible thirst??

The sewing machines are neatly boxed,
And stacked up by the wall.
With so many boxes already full,
It’s amazing we’ve hardly scratched it all!!

To the KING be all the glory!

(Hardly something that makes one think of Christmas – but this is the view from our window. :)

– On the Eighth Day of December

On the eighth day of December,
Boxes seem to be everywhere!
Some are full, many are empty –
But those last, won’t long so easily fare!

We have so many boxes,
I’ve finally lost count.
Of all shapes and sizes,
In high piles they mount!

After tomorrow, there’s bound to be more,
Many should be packed and taped tight.
I wonder how many, we’ll have in the end –
Putting them all together, will be quite a sight!

To the KING be all the glory!

On the sixth day of December
Hannah’s now ten years old.
The weather is a little warmer,
The morning isn’t quite so cold.

Faster and faster, the days fly by,
Closer and closer comes Christmas day.
The seconds tick by, turning to minutes,
The minutes into hours… they just seem to melt away!

To the KING be all the glory!

– On the Fifth Day of December

On the fifth day of December,
Our birthday celebration went late.
I now feel so utterly exhausted,
That rhyming schemes flee my weary pate!

So I’ll leave you with our “cake” pictures,
As to my pillow I plan to run.
Hopefully I’ll have more to write,
After the rising of the morning sun!

To the KING be all the glory!

– On the Fourth Day of December…

On the fourth day of December
My CHRISTmas book is coming along.
I’m writing in chapter two,
And trying to decide on a CHRISTmas song.

I’d love to finish it by CHRISTmas day,
But somehow I doubt I will.
I have soo many other things to do,
That will much of my time fill.

We worked on gifts today,
For CHRISTmas and a birthday too.
Tomorrow we have a celebration planned,
With ice-cream to make and baking to do.

To the KING be all the glory!
