On the Nineteenth Day of December …

– – –

‘Twas the nineteenth day of December
To a party they planned to go.
With preparations and house cleaning,
Away the morning did blow!

When finally to the party,
Most of the family made their way,
They took cookies and cheeseball –
The latter prepared earlier that day.

The evening was quite pleasant,
With caroling, dinner and fun.
But all were tired and ready to rest,
After the day was completely done …

To the KING be all the glory!

On the Seventeenth Day of December …

– – –

‘Twas the seventeenth day of December
And sewing day again!
Sewing, baking – then more sewing,
Life in this family has been!

Nearly four out of five of the skirts
And one out of six family hats.
All these have been made – but more to do
The family had – and that’s that!

The eldest sister started composing,
A song about the holy Christ child.
Would the next day be busy and full?
Or slow and relatively mild?

To the KING be all the glory!

On the Sixteenth Day of December …

– – –

‘Twas the sixteenth day of December
And the day was busy indeed!
Sewing on skirts, listening to audios –
After all, there was nothing to read!

But half the afternoon, was spent by one sister,
Stirring buttery sugar in a pot!
The outcome? Homemade English Toffee –
That everyone liked quite a lot…

To the KING be all the glory!

On the Fifteenth Day of December…

– – –

‘Twas the fifteenth day of December
And the cookies were baked every one!
The afternoon was happily spent,
In decorating, until each were done!

Horses and bears and birds,
Snowflakes, hearts and cats,
Ice cream cones piled high
With frosting like shining white hats!

At last everything was finished,
The mess could be packed away.
Add an audio Adventures in Odyssey,
And it had been quite a fun filled day!

To the KING be all the glory!
