Shakespearean Sonnet Number II

Since I am suppose to write on this blog (my signature does say “from Rebekah’s quill“!), I thought it was time I posted something besides pictures! This is my second poor attempt to write a Shakespearean Sonnet from January of 2006.

A man goes around,
Darkness floods his soul.
Nothing sooths him – not a sound –
Of despair he is full.
Long he has searched
For a soothing place
To heal all his hurts
And cheer his troubled face.
Then to him is given,
Hope if it he’ll receive.
To it, he’ll not be driven
But he must repent and believe.
This hope is Jesus, on Whom he does believe,
And of His promises does receive.

To the KING be all the glory!
