So that you don’t think that the ideas expressed are all mine, the following are my notes from our pastor’s sermon three or four weeks ago. :)
There is no neutrality!
There is only one truth!
Jesus is Christ or not
You can’t have both, forsooth!
You can’t blur the lines –
Distinguish and define!
Make sure that you can always
See the dividing line!
The LORD distinguishes,
Between the good and the evil.
Bow to the King of glory
And never His authority kill!
The LORD didn’t drop the standard,
His perfection is thus shown.
He didn’t drop the standard,
When man’s sin became known.
Who wrote the standard?
It was the LORD who lives on high.
Will you accept Him as KING
And follow His standard or die?
Christ sent His disciples
To bring to Him a young donkey.
He rode on it to Jerusalem
So prophecies fulfilled would be.
Perspectives are often different
When tales are told by more than one.
It does not mean they contradict
When all is said and done.
What day did Jesus die?
He rose on Sunday.
Friday answer some,
Others say Thursday.
The Passover given by God
When He gave the Law,
Always pointed to Jesus.
I wonder how many saw?
Jesus stayed in Bethany
The night before traveling.
The people greeted Him with branches
And raised their voices to sing.
The LORD uses what may seem bad
To bring about His perfect will.
Rest on Him – wait and see …
Wait on Him, child and be still!
The Christ had to undergo suffering
Though His followers could not see
That suffering and death would be His
And yet He would have great glory!
“Hosanna! Hosanna!”
They cried on Sunday.
“Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
They cried on Thursday.
The KING has entered!
We affirm His authority and glory!
We are a part of His Kingdom.
To Him be all the glory!
Amen!
To the KING be all the glory!
Yep, that’s from Pastor’s sermons, alright. (Only, I don’t recollect them being in poems. ;) Good job. :) )
Poetic notes. Fascinating.
