– On the Seventh Day of December…

– – –

On the seventh day of December
For lunch, came a mother with her son.
It was the first time we got to meet them,
We visited long after the meal was done.

The mother was a sweet faced lady,
With a bright smile and wavy dark hair.
Her personality was as sweet as her face,
And her dark eyes a sparkle did share.

Her son, a wee lad of six months,
Was as cute as you could wish to see,
With his beautiful blue eyes, and his wisps of light hair,
And his smile, so full of sweet glee.

So contented was this wee little lad,
That I got to hold him for quite a long time!
While the rest of us talked, he just mostly watched,
‘Till around three the clock did chime.

Altogether, it was a nice visit,
And made for a pleasant day.
Now I must conclude, for it is late,
And on my pillow, my head begs to lay.

To the KING be all the glory!
