On the Ninth Day of December …

– – –

‘Twas the ninth day of December,
Up on a ladder, one sister stood,
To tape to the ceiling,
All the snowflakes she could.

The four sisters were busy,
Decorating their room,
With white paper snowflakes,
Everywhere they did loom.

From the ceiling there hung,
So many shapes,
On the walls, on the mirrors,
They were even thinking of the drapes!

But now though not finished,
It seemed only right,
To put off the decorating,
Until after the night …

To the KING be all the glory!
