I wrote this poem a long time ago… when I was 15. I will say, I can hardly believe the horrible grammar I purposefully used… I never talk like this! I wrote it on a Sunday night I believe… I was imagining my Monday! :)
The laundry’s pilin’.
The counters are full,
Of cups and pans
Silverware and bowls.
The floor needs a cleanin’.
The plants all need waterin’.
The garbage need gatherin’.
The bathroom needs washin’.
There’s laundry to fold
Wash hang and dry.
There’s dustin’ to do –
So many things some might cry!
There’ll be sheets to wash,
Then beds to make.
Don’t forget – meals to cook
And supplements to take.
The cats will need water,
I’ll need some too.
There’s so many things
On my list to do!
I have a gift to sew,
A poem to finish,
A card to create –
At the end of the day I hope my list is diminished.
I need to prepare
For someone to come,
To our house tomorrow.
I need to do all my work – not just some.
I need to prepare for the school year.
Read in my Bible.
Write down my records
And pray for revival.
While all this work
I seek to accomplish,
I will sing praises to God
While scrubbing or washing a dish.
Is there more
I must do?
Of course there is – not all easy
There will be hard work too.
Maybe I should say
“Maybe” to all.
Or should I say “plan”?
Instead of being positive at all.
For you know the Bible says,
We should not say,
“We know” when we don’t
Know what will come in one day.
I must to bed go,
To get my rest and so,
I will be fresh
For my work tomorrow!
Strange, eh? I still shake my head at it…
To the KING be all the glory!
Yeah, but you shake your head with a grin, I can see it now. :D
I like it. Heehee….
What a cute poem! LOL. And I liked the grammar. You, Bethany, Gabe, and Casey should talk like this more often. LOL!

And Casey has no problem talking like that. He’s not uptight, like me. In fact, he’s the boogie woogie bugle boy, remember? :D
Haha, that is wonderful!
