T’was the first week of January,
When I looked all around,
And wondered if my brain
Were still intact and quite sound.
It seemed ready to burst,
With all the things running through,
Trying hard to remember;
“Where, what, when and who?”
Boxes surrounded me,
Like Cardboardian Mountain.
With tape making rivers,
And falling down fountains.
All around there were piles,
That lay ready to be packed.
Books seemed everywhere,
Though most neatly stacked.
The thought of moving day,
Seemed so very far away!
Then again there was a lot
To do before that busy day!
So I looked at my list of things to do,
Which seemed longer all the time,
And decided to get going again,
My mountain of work to climb.
So off I go, and if you’re reading this,
Know that this story is true,
So I’ll be a somewhat absent blogger,
So you know, for a week or maybe two.
I’ve got some old books to post,
Just pictures to see,
But you won’t be reading
Much writing from me.
When moving is over,
Then back I should be,
With all my normal posts…
To the KING be all the glory!
Only you would describe cardboard boxes and tape as mountains with rivers! I love that part!
I hope your packing/moving is going well! Still praying for you!
